Dr. Dinesh Samarasinghe serves as a senior lecturer of the Department of Industrial Management, Faculty of Business, University of Moratuwa. Dr. Dinesh was the Head, the Department of Management of Technology, University of Moratuwa from December 2015 till February 2020. He was graduated from Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka in 2004. He holds a B.Sc. Marketing Management (Special) Degree with a First Class Honors’ Division. He obtained both MBA and PhD in Marketing from University of Colombo. He has published his research work in internationally and locally reputed journals on Marketing and Management and presented conference papers at more than fifteen international and local research symposia.

Dr. Dinesh had been employed in the Marketing team at D. Samson & Sons Ltd (DSI Samson Group) since June 2003 to December 2005, involving in marketing strategy development and implementation including corporate level planning and research in the Sri Lankan Footwear Market. His teaching includes Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour,  Entrepreneurship and Research Skills for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the University. He has also been serving as visiting lecturer for the subjects of Strategic Marketing & Management and International Marketing in postgraduate programs of University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Colombo, Open University of Sri Lanka, Sir John Kothalawala Defense University of Sri Lanka. Moreover, He has been supervising postgraduate thesis and research projects related to Marketing and Management of the University of Moratuwa, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Colombo, Open University of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing since 2009. He has been a member of the Educational Reforms Committee of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing since 2018. Furthermore, he provides freelance management consultancies and corporate training to corporate sector organizations in Sri Lanka
